East County Hall of Justice

Dublin, CA

Located adjacent to the Santa Rita Jail, two buildings were constructed – a five story Courthouse, and a two story office building with a shared secure lobby and screening area, and 865 parking spaces, including secured parking for the judicial staff. The circular drop off entrance to the buildings and the surrounding landscape features berms throughout the site to reduce the visual impact of the parking lot. The planting highlights California native plants, bioswales and infiltration planters capturing 100% of the average annual runoff, and uses many sustainability tools to support a reduction in overall costs of energy and maintenance.
